Born in Caracas, Venezuela, I started
making guitars and other stringed
musical instruments as a result of a
long search for an activity that bonds
art, music and crafts.
As a former advertising designer,
trained in graphic and three-dimensional
design, drawing and woodworking,
I combined my job with the acquisition
of knowledge and skill in instrument
making.
Master luthiers Claudio Lazcano and Oscar García (senior) taught me the secrets
and techniques of Cuatro*, Mandolin, Bandola and Classical Guitar construction.
Currently living in Katy, Texas, I work almost exclusively on classical guitars under the
traditional Spanish technique but in a constant search for the best sound.
* The national venezuelan instrument.
